It is a well-known fact that Armenia’s daily life is very active. Every day we can see in some corner of the country a new construction project. It is a well-known fact that Armenia’s daily life is very active. Every day we can see in some corner of the country a new construction project.
Unfortunately, this construction works lead to a great amount of construction waste on the streets and on the green areas. Moreover, electricity and water resources are being overconsumed. Due to inefficient planning, every building under construction harms in some way our environment. Hopefully, today it is possible to find a solution for each issue. Over time, the concept of “green building” appeared, which includes: – the use of sustainable construction materials, – the use of non-toxic recovery resources, – the use of waste, electricity, water and self-defense management methods In many foreign countries, this very branch of architecture, the green building, has become widespread, which refers to both a structure and the application of processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building’s life-cycle: from planning to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.
Thus, to draw the attention of our citizens to such a revolutionary idea, Archidutch decided to launch an awareness-raising campaign involving “Armenia-based” organizations operating in their buildings. During this time we will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the buildings that have been built, somewhere, according to foreign standards, and have contributed to environmental sustainability. The promotion of the campaign will be provided on social platforms and in local media. P.s. The inspiration for this idea is “The Edge” office building in the Netherlands, which is considered as one of the greenest buildings in the world. We believe that the human mind is a powerful tool that, when believed, brings us closer to reality.
